Chad and Mandy have a heart for service and we’re thankful that the Lord has led them to UPBC. Chad is a Land Surveyor and possesses a degree in Construction Management. He oversees the care, upkeep, and maintenance of all UPBC grounds, buildings, and equipment. Mandy loves to serve in the kitchen and dining hall and their kids pitch in in both departments as well.

Chad grew up in West Union, a rural community in southern Ohio, and attended two different church camps in the area. He received Jesus as his Savior while attending Greenfield Bible Camp. Chad was introduced to Upper Peninsula Bible Camp through his wife Mandy while they were dating. Mandy spent a number of weeks at camp each summer when she was younger, and also served several summers on staff. The Swearingen’s even spent part of their honeymoon at UPBC's Autumn Adventure Camp!
