Being part of Upper Peninsula Bible Camp is a cherished tradition shared by thousands of people for over 80 years! Whether you attended UPBC as a young camper, a summer staffer or a counselor, you can share in the memories of a camp focused on preaching peace through Jesus Christ.

Becoming a member tells others you stand behind the Kingdom work of UPBC. Membership shows you are committed to being part of the body of believers who are looking to expand the reach and depth of this ministry.  Members of UPBC have more opportunities to share in the joy of seeing others come to know a loving Savior. Are you interested in taking your involvement at camp a step further?

WHAT DOES IT TAKE TO BECOME A MEMBER?

First, you must be a born again follower of Jesus Christ. Second, you must attain the ripe old age of 18. Third, you must acknowledge and agree with the UPBC Statement of Faith.

APPLICATIONS for MEMBERSHIP can be submitted any time. To be considered for membership by the annual meeting in October, the application must be submitted by September 25th of that year.

FORM: Fill this out to request membership, or to find out if you’re already a member.

WHAT HAPPENS AFTER I SUBMIT MY STATEMENT OF FAITH?

Your submission of the Statement of Faith serves as your application to become a voting member of UPBC. All applicants must be approved by the Board of Trustees, and then ratified by a majority vote of the current voting members.  After you are approved, you are eligible to vote at the Annual Meeting and other official UPBC events as needed.

WHAT IS EXPECTED OF ME AS A MEMBER?

There is no minimum level of involvement at UPBC required and there is no membership fee. Those who choose to spend time serving at camp and attending camp functions, primarily the Annual Meeting each fall, have a richer experience as a member. We value your gifts and opinions, and want you to be involved!

  • The by-laws of UPBC require that anyone who wishes to be a voting member of the corporation must be approved by the Board of Trustees.

  • Voting members of UPBC elect new Trustees each year, approve future calendars, and help decide other operational/ministry issues. As camp continues to grow and expand, more input from a plurality of leaders will be needed.
