Matt and his wife Lauren are from Elgin, IL and have one daughter and three sons: Madison (15), Colton (13), Weston (12), Remington (9). Matt served as a pastor for the Village Church of Bartlett in Bartlett, IL for ten years. During his time at Village, Matt’s pastoral duties spanned from facilities to adult discipleship and youth ministry. He has organized and led countless missions trips for both youth and adults at the church. As an interesting side note, Matt and Lauren met while working for LeaderTreks, a Christian ministry with a mission for people to grow closer to the Lord through an outdoor experience. Sound familiar? Matt is also an active outdoorsman who loves mountain biking, triathlons, and cutting down trees.
Most important, Matt loves Jesus with his whole heart. He is an experienced team builder who desires unity within the body of Christ so the Good News can be spread effectively through UPBC. Having spent some time at UPBC the last few years during Family Camp and work weekends, Matt fully understands the distinctive characteristics that make UPBC special to us all and is embracing our legacy of volunteerism rooted in the Plymouth Brethren tradition.
To God be the glory!
